Nikkei tumbles on weak U.S. job data midday

TOKYO (Xinhua) – Nikkei tumbled Monday morning on a weaker-than-expected U.S. employment data released last week. The benchmark index lost 152.85 points, or 1.71 percent, from Friday to 8,797.89.
