Air Lease Corporation and Air Berlin Sign a Sale and Lease-Back Agreement for Two Used B737-800 Aircraft

LOS ANGELES, August 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — Air Lease Corporation and Air Berlin have signed sale and lease-back agreements for two used B737-800′s. The transaction was completed July 29, 2010.

“We are delighted to announce these two additional aircraft on top of the used A320 and two new aircraft already leased by ALC to Air Berlin. Air Berlin has been a strong supporter of ALC since inception and we value our partnership,” said Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, Chairman and CEO of Air Lease Corporation.

Ulf Huttmeyer, CFO of Air Berlin PLC, stated: “The new strategic partnership with Air Lease has already proven successful if we take into account that this is the second transaction Air Berlin closed with the Air Lease Corporation team in the month of July.”
